'In Love Again' was written for Adrian Nurney, principal euphonium player for Elland Silver Band and former euphonium with Grimethorpe Colliery Band.
 
In a nostalgic style reminiscent of love ballads from classic Hollywood musicals, this original solo work captures the multitude of feelings when falling in love. A passional, lyricate theme is woven throughout, with question-and-answer phrases that convey those new and exciting feelings of infatuation - "They love me. They love me not".
 
Taking further influence from operatic singer Mario Lanza, the solo's cantabile style, sweeping crescendos and soarinf melodic lines take the listener on an exciting, windswept journey of romance. A powerful, timeless-sounding solo and a fitting showcase for a talented soloist.
